Canoga Park
Canoga Park is a district of the town of Los Angeles located in the Vallée of San Fernando. Originally called Owensmouth by Harrison Gray Otis of the Los Angeles Times because it was located close to the Los Angeles Aqueduct which brings water to the city since the Vallée of Owens, the area was formerly rural and its agricultural industry and in connection with cinema industry since there were there studios used inter alia for the cascades.
The city was founded the March 30th 1912 by Janss Corporation, but the difficulty of the municipality of having a sufficient water quota led to the annexation at the town of Los Angeles, which was declared the February 26th 1917. The name of the district was changed into Canoga Park in 1930. At present, most of the west of the district was famous West Hills while part of the east of the district is indicated under the name of Winnetka. The area is now mainly suburban, however some parts remained rural and the production of film always exists there.
