The caniformes ( caniformia ) are a sub-order of the order of the Carnivora. This sub-order includes/understands the following families:
This group of Mammifère S includes/understands only carnivorous S (or piscivorous).
Anatomically, the tympanic Bulbe of the caniformes is made of a single room or is divided by a Pseudoseptum. In opposition to the Féliformes whose tympanic bulb is divided by a tympanic truth Septum.
It is it should be noted that the three families which are the Otariidés (Otarie S,…), the Odobénidés (Morse S,…) and the Phocidés (Seal S,…) were formerly gathered within the sub-order of the Pinnipèdes. This sub-order is regarded today as obsolete, but certain authors maintained the existence of Pinnipedia with the row of super-family within the sub-order of the Caniformia . A study of molecular biology of 2005 goes in this direction, by defending the assumption according to which Pinnipèdes go down well from a common ancestor who is clean for them (Taxon monophyletic), and that they do not divide with other families of Caniformia . This study dismisses the sometimes advanced assumption according to which the Phoques (phocidés) would be related with the Loutres, when other Pinnipèdes would be it rather with the Ours. The study slices in favor of the assumption according to which all Pinnipèdes would be well members of a Taxon monophyletic (here a super-family), especially related with the Ursidés, within the sub-order of the Caniformia . The taxonomy of the Caniformia is thus still suitable for discussion and evolution.
