Caniapiscau

Caniapiscau is a regional Municipalité of county (MRC) of the Quebec (Canada), located in the administrative area of the Coast-North. Half of the 5000 inhabitants of the area lie in his chief town, Fermont.

A camping of the Société of energy of the Bay-James bore the name Caniapiscau during the construction of the Réservoir Caniapiscau, of 1977 to 1984. Located close to the Duplanter outfall, on Northern bank of the tank, the camping is used today by providers offering of the services to the tourists interested by sporting fishing and hunting in the caribou.
