Cane arrow
The canes arrow ( Gynerium sagittatum ), is a large herbaceous plant of the family of the Poaceae , being able to reach and exceed five meters height. It is a particularly vigorous species, which develops in very dense settlements. It belongs to the subfamily of the Panicoideae . It is known in Latin America under the names of Caña faced (Peru), Canna frecha , Frecheira (Brazil), Caña of frecha (Paraguay), Cañaflecha (Colombia).
Description
The Tige S are right and vertical; the lower part is covered by the base of the sheets from which the limbs fell, while in the upper part, the sheets are laid out range. It is a plant Dioïque, whose floral poles can bring the plant until more than 9 m height on banks of the Ucayali (Peru).
Distribution
Present in the arid zones of the Peruvian coast, one also finds it in the floodplains amzoniennes, on the sandy beaches, where it shows a remarkable ecological plasticity thus, as described it Lamotte.
