Candaule
In Greek mythology, Candaule or Caudale is a Héraclide, wire of Héraclès and one of the fifty girls of Thespios, the king of Thespies (city close to Thèbes). It succeeds on the throne of Lydie her half-brother Lamos, wire of Héraclès and Omphale.
It is known to have killed his wife after this one refused to go naked in front of its soldiers, which gave birth at the end of “Candaulisme”.
