Cancé

The Group Cancé is a group of the BTP of South-west. It is the 11th company with the national plan for the steel constructions. It counts 200 paid, its seat is located at Nay and it has many agencies mainly in South-west.

History

Cancé was founded in 1961, by Robert Cancé father of the current chairman: at the origin intended for the activity of iron work, the company will develop around the activity of the metal frames, by automating very early its production process. Cancé SA will experience a significant development in particular in the South-west of France. The development strategy in small islands will see the creation of commercial agencies to Bayonne (1981), La Rochelle (1998), Tours, Narbonne (2002) and finally Clermont-Ferrand (2004) including/understanding for some, their own workshops. Cancé which must also make vis-a-vis an important competition, was also established with the Portugal by creating a manufacturing plant in Carregal de Sal (2800 m ²)

The Cancé group created in 1991 gathers thus around the entity Cancé Développement:

Also Cancé meeting, the last of the subsidiary companies is added, gathering all the activities of the group on the same site.

Spheres of activities

Cancé steel constructions studies, designs and constructs buildings industrial, agricultural, commercial, sporting, school, university and hospital. To construct these buildings, the factories of productions transform steel bars into elements which, once assembled between them on the building site, constitute the framework or the metal structure of the building. In 2003, the production represented 10.100 tons of acier.
All the other materials which intervene in the realization of the building do not undergo a transformation, they are bought with various suppliers and are directly or not conveyed for the building site in order to be fixed at the framework. It is for example of screws and bolts, the cover or the isolation.

Customers

Each customer is a particular case, the real buildings, goods, being not standardized constructions. Each building is thus a product with its characteristics. The customers are very diverse energy of the private individual wanting to be made build a garage, an association wishing to be made build a refreshment bar or a great aeronautical group wishing to create hangars. Cancé carried out hospitals (Pellegrin, Tarbes), the station of toll of Bayonne or certain infrastructures of the tram of Bordeaux…
