Canal Algérie
Canal Algérie is the second Television channel Algerian general practitioner of ENTV.
History of the chain
The National company of Television (ENTV) created in 1994 Canal Algérie, chain only diffused by satellite, like a cultural bond with the Algerian community residing abroad, and more precisely in Europe. The chain also seeks to interest and allure the foreign public concerned by the evolution of the situation in Algérie in particular in the political arenas and economic.
Since the beginning 2002, the chain is also diffused in UHF for the capital, Algiers, by the transmitter of Bordj El-Bahri.

Canal Algérie appears, according to a survey carried out by the Abassa Institute in 2001, as being the sixth televisual chain as regards occupation of the TV rating in France and is classified in the forefront of the Arab chains. It thus has to become an international chain of French-speaking expression.

Canal Algérie is a general channel offering a panel of diversified programs combining information, the culture, the entertainment and the sport. Canal Algérie diffuses 24:00 the /24 emissions of public channel ENTV like and of the French newspapers (to 70%), in English, Arabic or tamazight.
Diffusion
Canal Algérie is intended for the Algerian community and Arabic in Europe, using satellite NSS 7 with western 22°. It is also distributed on the numerical bouquets French CanalSat on Astra 1E to 19.2° Is and TPS on Hot Bird 6 with 13° Is and can be followed on line on Internet site of the ENTV. Also diffused for North America by the satellite Galaxy 25 with western 97°.
