Canadian barrier

The Canadian barrier or Canadian passage (or even named Mot-valise bovistop ) is a system of containment of the large animals (wild or domestic) which makes it possible to do without mobile Barrière, while leaving, in a system of Clôture, an opening allowing freedom of movement of the Piéton S and the Véhicule S.

Principle

It consists of solids round bars or section rectangular aligned with the top of a pit. The majority of the animals are frightened by this structure which they do not know and the vacuum which is below. They generally do not cross installation. The horses pass it if they are encouraged there.

Uses

This very effective system is in particular used:
  • On the roads of mountain pasture attended by the hikers and the operating staffs large
  • at the entries and exits Canadian national parks, enclosed to limit the damage that large herbivores or carnivores could make in the fields, breedings or gardens.
  • It can be used in cattle-breeding areas of large animals (wapitis, bisons.) or in the zoos where it is easy to integrate in the Paysage.
