Canadian Blues

The " Blues canadien" is not as well a Genre of blues as a way of indicating a musical style played by artists and of bluesmen coming from the Canada. In Canada, there exists a multitude of musicians and group of local or regional Blues, but little bored at the national level or internatinoal. JW-Jones has blues guitarist, singer, and band leader born in 1980 who is signed to the NorthernBlues Music label. His band, the JW-Jones Blues Band has recorded furnace albums. He has played At blues festivals and clubs in Canada, US the, Europe (France, Germany, etc), Australia, and Brazil. Jack of Keyzer has blues guitarist, singer and songwriter who has performed At many major blues festivals and has off winner Canada' S Juno award in 2003 for his album " 6 String Lover". The Jack of Keyzer band has toured throughout Canada, the USA, Mexico City and Europe including vents like the BB King Blues Festival. Other awards include has 2001 award from Jazz Carryforward magazine; Live Act off the Year award in 2001 from Real Blues magazine has; and Guitarist off the Year awards in 1999 & 2002.

Sue Foley has blues/roots guitarist, songwriter and vocalist. She has ten CDs studio, five from Austin - based blues label Antone' S, three from the New York independent Shanachie and has live CD one Ruf Records from Germany and Justin Time in Canada. In 2000 she won has Juno Award, the Canadian are equivalent to the Grammy for Best Blues Album for her CD “Love Comin' Down”, and in 2002 she was the SOCAN songwriter off the year. David Rotundo has Toronto-based blues vocalist, songwriter and Harmonica player. Rotundo has travelled to New Orleans, Clarksdale, Austin, Memphis and Chicago to hear US blues musicians. In 2000, He performed with the Jack of Keyzer band and in 2001, his album beginning, " Blowin' For Broke" won the MapleBlues Awards "Best New Artist off The Year 2002". In 2003, He won year award from Canada' S national public broadcaster, the CBC /Galaxie " Rising Star" award, for his second CD, " Ignited" blues;.
