Canadian Airlines

Canadian Airlines International Ltd. (Code AITA: CP; Code ICAO: CDN) was, until 2000, the larger second Airline company of the Canada behind Air Canada, transporting more than 11,9 million passengers on more than 160 destinations in 17 countries out of five continents with its more high level of activity in 1996.

The company Canadian and Canadian International was the resultant of fusion between the airline companies WARDAIR, QuébecAir and Canadian Pacifique (CP) in the years '80. To travel with Canadian Pacifique was an experiment single and comparable with the large airline companies of the world. One has that to think of the large Hotels CP of Canada to think with precision the quality of the services which were offered on board air apparatuses.

Canadian Airlines International Ltd., was the principal subsidiary company of Canadian Airlines Corporation (formerly PWA Corporation) it is the downward one of five old airline companies.

Canadian Airlines had its seat with Calgary (Alberta) and had a sales turnover of approximately 3 billion dollars at the end 1999.

This company amalgamated with Air Canada in 2000.

American Airlines also had shares in this company.

It was an excellent airline company which unfortunately disappeared with the detriment from AIR CANADA whose passengers complain without stop about the bad service of a company having the Canadian monopoly arérien henceforth.
