Canada telefilm

Téléfilm Canada is an organization of concerning federal state the ministry for the Canadian Inheritance. Téléfilm Canada is dedicated to the promotion and the development of Canadian audio-visual industry and thus brings a financial support and strategic to with Canadian industries: cinema, television and new media.

Founded by the Canadian Parliament in 1967 under the name of Company of development of Canadian cinema industry (SDICC) , Téléfilm Canada in the beginning was only dedicated to cinema industry. It is only in 1984, following creation in 1983 of the Development funds of Canadian emissions of television , that the name of Téléfilm Canada is adopted in order to better reflect the whole of the activities of the organization.

Today, Téléfilm Canada is composed of three principal funds: Fund of the feature-length film of Canada, Canadian Fund of television and Fund of new the media of Canada. In 2007, it celebrates its fortieth birthday.
