Campouriez is a common French, located in the north of the Aveyron and the area the Midday-Pyrenees. The village is on the plate of Viadène between Aubrac, the Throats of Truyère and the Valley of the Batch. Its inhabitants is called Campouriézois. The origin of the name comes from the occitan and means the " Field of or". One also calls this corner the country of Coustoubis, the inhabitants of the slopes of the vines. Located on the top of a hill, the village offers a splendid sight on the neighborhoods. Its hamlets are very numerous: Vaysse, Joanie, Bruel, Nigole, Banhars and especially Bez-Bédène, natural site surprising.

In Campouriez-même a small charming church is, Clear the Saint church, dating from the 15th century. Opposite was set up statue Notre-Dame the cast iron of the vines in 1860 in order to entreat the epidemic of will phylloxéra which touched the vines.
