Campo Erê is a city Brésil ienne west of the State of Santa Catarina. It is located at a Latitude of 26º 23 ' 39" south and with a Longitude of 53º 04 ' 41" west, with a Altitude of 910 meters. Its population was estimated at: 10437 inhabitants in 2006. The municipality extends on 479 km ².

General information

Campo Erê is one of the municipalities to the highest productivity per hectare at the national level with regard to the Maïs and the Soja. It is crossed by the following Rivière S: Rio Sargento, Rio back Muros, Rio Capetinga, Rio Very Voltas, Rio Catundó, Rio Mundo Novo, Rio Pesqueiro.

History

The municipality of Campo Erê was created on June 21st, 1958. Campo Erê was before a district of Chapecó which was colonized by gaucho S of the Rio Grande C Sul, mainly of origin italo - Germanic. The area was also occupied by Indians Caingangue S, pertaining to the group of the Tupi-guarani S.
