Camillo Róndani

Camillo Róndani is a Italian Entomologiste , specialist in the Diptère S (Diptérologiste), born the November 21st 1808 with Parma and dead the September 7th 1879 in this same city.
He teaches and directs a school of the secondary to Parma. He also gives courses of Agronomie to the university of the city. He takes part in work founders of the entomological Société of Italy (1869) from which he ensures the vice-presidency of 1871 1879.
Róndani is the author of 159 publications including 101 on the dipterous ones. Among those, it is necessary to quote Prodromus Dipterologiae Italicae in eight volumes (of 1856 with 1877. It is also interested in questions of entomology applied and in particular in the Insecte S parasites of other insects.
Its collections the dipterous ones are preserved partly at the Museum zoology Specola of the Université of Florence, at the Natural history museum of zoology of the Université of Bologna and at the Université of Parma.
