Camille de Farcy
Camille of Farcy , count de Pontfarcy (° March 19th 1792 , alias March 17th 1794 - † August 20th 1850), military French.
Biography
Born the March 19th 1794 with Jersey, Camille de Farcy passes its youth in emigration to England. After the return of its family, it enters to the regiment of the guards of honor in 1813, musketeer of the guard of the King in 1814. Knight of the royal order of the Legion of honor (November 17th 1814), one finds it captain of cavalry in 1815, then, with the army of Andigné, chief of the 7th Legion in the sector of Vaiges and Évron.Returned with the Castle of Champfleury, with Arquenay, the Restoration, he becomes mayor of Arquenay (1821 - 1830).
After 1830, it corresponded with the Duchesse of Berry in exile, and accepted the command of the Mayenne with the rank of general, commander-in-chief, for this department, of the royalist Insurrection in the West of France in 1832. Its army included/understood 3 legions then. Recipient of the counter-order, it did not have time to warn his subordinates. He helped the Duchesse of Berry has to flee during the insurrection.
He was patented Brigadier by the Duchesse of Berry in July 1832; he emigrated then in England, and went to find the king Charles X with Prague.
On its return in 1837, it accepted duke of Bordeaux the authorization to drive out, its life during, on the field of Chambord.
He died the August 20th 1850.
