Camille Guerin

Camille Guerin (born the December 22nd 1872 in Poitiers, † the June 9th 1961 in Paris) is a Veterinary surgeon and Biologiste.
Born with Poitiers the December 22nd 1872, it creates in 1921, with the doctor Calmette with the Institut Pasteur of Lille, the BCG or Bacille Calmette-Guerin, a Vaccin antituberculeux.
Camille Guerin resulted from a modest milieu. His/her father died of tuberculosis (in 1882). He studied of 1892 to 1896 medicine with the National school Veterinary surgeon d' Alfort, while being used as assistant to the pathologist Edmond Nocard (1850-1903).
