Cambridge University Close (university Press of Cambridge, abbrégé in CUP) is a university Publisher British attached to the Université of Cambridge. It is with Oxford University Close one of both Privileged presses S .
The house published its first book in 1584 and left at least a book per year since. This thus does of them one of the oldest publishers in the world. It is at the same time a university publisher and the printer of the official documents of the University of Cambridge.
The authors published by this house count amongst other things John Milton, William Harvey, Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking. Each year, approximately two hundred re-examined and two thousand delivers S are published.
