Calville
Caleville or Calville is the name of a group of Cultivar S of Pommier S with more or less lengthened corded fruits.
As of 1628, it is quoted by Lectier, prosecutor of the king Louis XIII, which had three different Calleville:
- the white Calville,
- the red Calville (or red Calville of winter, Calville of winter or red Calvin)
- and the clear Calville.
Today, one finds inter alia:
- Calville Alexandre
- Calville of August
- Calville d' Oullins
- Calville Duquesne
- Calville Lombard
- Calville of the King
- Calville Saint-Saver
