Caltrain

Caltrain is a railway line of Public transport serving the Péninsule of San Francisco and the Vallée of Santa Clara in California. It is currently exploited under contract by Amtrak and is cofinanced by the city and county of San Francisco, the district of transit of the Comté of San Mateo and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority through Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board. The northern terminus of Caltrain is in the east of San Francisco, close to the crossroads of 4th Street and King Street, and its southern terminus is with Gilroy, in the Comté of Santa Clara. Trains join San Francisco with San Jose approximately every half-hour the days of week, to which express trains are added to the less frequent stops at the rush hours.

Caltrain counts 29 regular stops, a special stop for the days of matches of football towards the stage of Stanford, and two stops only carried out in end of the week, with Broadway and Atherton. In February 2007, Caltrain exploited a range of 96 trains the days of week, 32 saturdays and 28 Sunday.
