Callicarpe
The callicarpes or shrubs with the candies are shrubs of the family of the Verbénacées pertaining to the kind Callicarpa .
They are shrubs originating in North America or Asia: China, Korea, Japan. The kind includes/understands approximately 150 species pami which one can quote:
- Callicarpa americana - Callicarpe of America: Plant originating in the south-east of the the United States (of Virginia in Texas). It is a 2 height m shrub to the fluffy sheets with the silver plated reverse. It bears small mauve flowers in July and large fruits (4 mms diameter) purple in October. It is called beautyberry with the the United States.
- Callicarpa bodinieri : This species originating in China carries small pink flowers in July, grouped in bouquets with the armpit of the sheets on the branches of the year.

- Callicarpa japonica : This plant, originating in the Japan, is a collected shrub. The sheets are coloured in autumn, while bearing purplished fruits. Pink flowering in August.
- Callicarpa weakened : This species is originating in China can reach 3 m in height. It is a shrub with the oblong, fluffy sheets with the reverse. The flowers are pink in summer and are followed fruits lilac.
- Callicarpa rubella this shrub gives pink fruits and can reach 3 m in height.
Recent phylogenetic research resulted in positioning this kind in the family of the Lamiacées.
