Guy of Burgundy (1050 - 1124), 160 {{E}} Pope Catholic under the name of Calixte II (1119 - 1124). Wire of the Count Guillaume Ier of Burgundy, known as Guillaume Large the . Archbishop of Vienna (Isere).

Biography

1050 Guy of Burgundy is born with Quingey (to 20 km in the south of Besancon in Franche-Comté). Wire of the count Guillaume I {{er}} of Burgundy, known as Guillaume Large the , and of Étiennette of Longwy-Metz (girl of the duke Adalbert of Lorraine or more probably (according to Moréri) of Gertrude de Limbourg, its first wife).

1097 his/her brother, the count Renaud II of Burgundy, dies at the time of the First crusade (1096 - 1099) at the 41 years age. His/her brother Etienne Ier of Burgundy succeeds to him like count de Bourgogne.

1102 Etienne Ier of Burgundy dies in Croisade at the 37 years age. His/her son, the count Etienne Ier of Burgundy, succeeds to him.

1118 foundation of the Order of Templiers to Jerusalem to protect the Pilgrimage from Jerusalem.

1118 the Germanic emperor Henri V of the Holy roman Empire, dissatisfied with the pope Gélase II, drives out it the Vatican with Rome and names there the antipape Gregoire VIII under his imperial control. Gélase II excommunicates Henri V of the Holy roman Empire and the antipape Gregoire VIII, then takes refuge with the Abbaye of Cluny Duché of Burgundy in France where he dies.
