The Calgary Mavericks Rugby Football Club is a club of Canadian Rugby which evolves/moves in the Rugby Canada Super League.

The players of the club come from the clubs of the federation of the Calgary Rugby Union, one of the 14 federations which is represented in the national championship semi-professional of the RCSL.

It is based with Calgary, more the big city of the province of the Alberta (Canada). The club plays Calgary Rugby Park with Calgary.

The club gained the championship in 2003 becoming the first victorious club apart from the province of Colombia-British, stronghold of Rugby with XV in Canada.

History

In 1998, the national federation of Rugby with XV Rugby Canada and the federations provincial are reflected agreement to create the Rugby Canada Super League. Fourteen provincial federations (and of the districts depending on those) were invited to contribute in this semi-professional national league.
