Caleb Applewhite

Caleb Applewhite is the name of a fictitious character of the serial Desperate Housewives , played by Page Kennedy, then by NaShawn Kearse.

History of the character

Reached of a Backwardness, Caleb is the second wire of Betty which resided at the beginning of the second season, to the basement of the house when Betty thought that he was the assassin of Melanie Foster. However, during one night, it was able to escape and moved towards the house of Solis to eat Ice cream there. It however terrorized Gabrielle which fell into the staircases, then equipped in a very tight dress to hide its pregnancy, which caused the loss of its baby. It is finally stopped by the police force which will intern it in a psychiatric hospital. His/her brother, Matthew and his mother, Betty will however help it to escape from the hospital to turn over to the house.

Whereas Applewhite were about to move, following the suspicions of the neighbors, Matthew advised in Caleb to goodbye say to Danielle of which it had weak, by embracing it. Regarding that as an assault with intent to commit rape, Betty decided to kill it by including poison in the ice cream that Caleb would taste at the time of a Pique-nique, lasting one day with the park. About to eat its ice cream, Betty prevented it when Caleb revealed to him that Matthew had required of him to go to kiss Danielle. Later, Betty and Caleb will be stopped by the police force for the murder of Melanie Foster: It is there that Betty learned, by a bloodstain of Melanie found on the jacket of Matthew, that the latter was in fact the assassin of Melanie. At the end of the season, after the death of Matthew, Betty and Caleb thus moved with an aim of beginning a new more serene life.
