Calceolariaceae

The family of the Calceolariaceae is a family of plants Dicotylédone S which includes/understands approximately 260 Espèce S divided into 3 kind S:

  • Calceolaria, Jovellana, Porodittia .

They are herbaceous plants or shrubs, hot moderate areas or tropical highlands, originating in South America and New Zealand.

The kind Calceolaria was the subject of a horticultural selection. The calcéolaire is a cold hothouse plant which one very easily finds in the florists in spring.

The phylogenetic Classification separates this family from the Scrophulariaceae and locates it in the order of the Lamiales .
