Calbus Fribergius
Calbus Fribergius , still called Calb , of its true name Ulrich von Claw , is a doctor of Freyberg, in Saxony, with 15th and 16th centuries. It is known to have written a work on the mining techniques, the Bergbüchlein , to have published in 1505.
Georgius Agricola, of which he was the precusor, the site in its foreword of the Re Metallica :
- “ Of uenis, of quibus etiam Pandulfus Anglus scripsisse fertur: sed librum Germanicum confecit Calbus Fribergius , not ignobilis medicus: uerum uenter eam, quam sumpsit, partem absoluit . ”
