Calais signs excellent courses at the time of the first editions of the Coupe de France by taking share with the quarterfinals of the test 1921, with the 8es in 1922 and 16es into 1923,24,25,26 and 30. In 1921, Calais treats to even the luxury to leave holding it the Cut, the C.A.S.G. Paris in eighth of finale (3-2). Racing Club of Calais joined the professional rows in 1933. The “English aces” Malonney and Allison are illustrated particularly. Fault of financial means sufficient, Calais prefers to give up its professional statute since 1938. Of return in the sphere amateur, Calais joined the C.F.A. in 1962 following a championship of the Division of Honor of the League of North. Evolving/moving in C.F.A. lasting four seasons, Calais removes its group, missing the accession finally national with the goal average (1965). It is almost the same group of players who, under the crook of Albert Dubreucq, sign these beautiful performances in D.H. then in C.F.A. Citons here Forcioli, Godzek, Duville and Plancque. As of the following season, the Calaisians plunge and find the Division of Honor of 1966 to 69. Champion of the League of North in 1969, Calais, under the direction of president Viniacourt and the trainer Claude Plancque, joined the C.F.A. for his last edition… At this point in time is born in 1974, in this prolongation, under his current form, Calais Racing Union Football Club, of the fusion of Racing Club of Calais which evolved/moved in yellow and black and of US Calais which evolved/moved in yellow and red.

The hour of glory

In particular offering a superb meeting in semi-final against Bordeaux, four divisions with the top of Calais, obliging the professional players of Bordeaux to go until in prolongations where the club amateur drew his pin from the play while striking by three times. The service finally with the Stade de France, and this in front of 78.000 spectators, showed that the place of the CRUFC on this level of the competition was far from being usurped, practically making good match with FC Nantes. A penalty granted, by Mr. Colombo referee of this meeting, for a fault disputed on Alain Caveglia with the 90ème minute sealed the fate of Tom Thumb of the test. Ladislas Lozano can be regarded as the joint author with his players of this exploit. Mickaël Landreau, captain and guard of FC Nantes will reward the players amateurs by offering the privilege rare to the Calaisian captain Réginald Becque to raise with him the trophy. successive adversaries of the CRUFC at the time of Coupe de France 1999/2000:
