Caius Posthumus Dardanus

Caius Posthumus Dardanus is a Préfet of the court of Gaules of the beginning of the 5th century which was declared against Jovien, regarded as usurper of the imperial authority, and which made him undergo the last torment after it was overcome with Valence by the king of Goth Athaulf which did it captive and delivered to him.

“Claudius Posthumus Dardanus, man famous, covered dignity of Patrice, consular exgouvernor of the province Viennese, ex-Master of the requests, ex-questeur, ex-prefect of the court of Gaules, and Nevia Official reception, woman clarissime and illustrate, his wife, having gotten at the city called Théopolis the use of the roads, while making cut on the two sides the two sides of these mountains and doors and walls gave him. All that was done on their own ground; but they wanted it to make common for the safety of all.
