The Caïmans 72 of Mans are a club French of American football based in Mans.

The club

The Caimans are affiliated with the American FF and the Football league of Brittany - Pays-de-Loire.

The club includes/understands:

a senior team evolving/moving in the Helmet of money,

But also a section cheerleaders and a section of flag football created in 2002, under the name of the Impalas of Mans.

History

Beautiful years (1985-1998)

The Caimans are founded in 1985 and play their first matches in 1986, three friendly matches against Drakkars of Nantes (3 defeats). The following year they invrivent with the Casque of money (D2), in which they arrive finally vis-a-vis Argonautes of Aix-en-Provence. Promoted in Helmet of gold (D1) at the time of the season 1988, they remain 2 years without never playing there the play-offs. As return in the second division the club in 1990, they are described for the play-offs in 1992 (quarterfinal) and 1993 (semi-final). In 1991 they gain the 2nd edition of West Bowl and play the final the following year. The Caimans go up among the elite in 1994, year when it parviennet for the first time in play-offs in this division. They play then during three seasons on this level, but does not take part in the play-offs. In 1998 they are relegated in Casque of gold.

Descent in D3 (1999-present)

In 1999 the Caimans are registered in no national competition and take part in Eight Bowl, which they gain, and with the Western Bowl, where they reach the final. The following year they make their return in the Casque of gold and are stopped in quarterfinal. In 2001 they declare fixed price for the whole of the season, in the Western Bowl they lose finally. In spite of one correct season 2002 and a participation in the play-offs, they is relegated in the news division 3. The Caimans declare once again fixed price general for the season 2003. In the regional championship Brittany - Pays-de-Loire in 2004, they remain unconquered on the whole of the season and gain the title enabling them to return in Casque of money. Present since 2005 in the 3rd division, they take part each year in the final stages. The Caimans also gained the Western Bowl 2005.
