Cabinet Balkenende IV

The fourth cabinet of Jan Peter Balkenende is the government of the Netherlands starting from February 22nd, 2007, after the legislative elections Dutchwomen of 2006 of November 22nd, 2006 and the period of formation which was followed from there.

Formation of the government

The 16 ministers come from the parties taking part in the Coalition: eight for the Christen-Democratisch Call (HALF-VALUE LAYER), six for the Partij van of Arbeid (PvdA) and two for the ChristenUnie. The Prime Minister (also called Minister-President) is the current chief of the HALF-VALUE LAYER. The chiefs of the two other parties taking part in the coalition obtained the title of Vice-First-Minister.
