Cabin-in-Josas

Cabin-in-Josas is a common department of the Yvelines, in the area Île-de-France, in France, to 4 km in the south of Versailles and to 22 km in the south-west of Paris.

The inhabitants are the Logeois .

Geography

The commune of Cabin-in-Josas is a pastoral village of 1500 inhabitants, located between the valley of the Bièvre and the Plateau of Saclay.

It profits from a privileged environment. In spite of the immediate proximity of urban areas and economic very developed (Versailles, Saint-Quentin-in-Yvelines, Vélizy-Villacoublay, Massy - Palaiseau), the village could preserve its rural and peaceful character, following the example several communes of the surroundings.

To north, the village extends until the bottom from the valley from the Bièvre, in Site classified, in a landscape of meadows and Forêt S, with the limits of the old field of hunting of Versailles. In the south, on the plate of Saclay, the village is bordered of arable lands. The wood of Garenne extends until the center from the village. The secondary road D938, which leads to Versailles towards north and to Châteaufort towards the south, passes near the western limit of the commune and the highway A86 passes to north near the variation of Small-Jouy.

The village is served by the station the SNCF of Petit Jouy - the Cabins on the line Juvisy - Versailles-Building sites (the RER C), like by certain lines of bus of the company Phébus. History

The name derives from the Latin word logiae which means huts .

On the commune a nursery school, a crib, an elementary school and a library/media library are present. The pupils go to the college to Buc and the college to Versailles.

Health

The castle of the Coasts, centers infantile Cardiologie accommodating 80 children, is managed by the Société of Maternal Charity of Paris.
