Caïd (Film)

Caïd is a French film carried out by Bernard Borderie in 1960.

Summary

Professor Justin Migonet leaves Arles to go to attend a congress of philosophy. In the train, a gangster obliges it to hide in his bag a satchel containing thirty franc million that Justin will have to restore to him in Paris. At the time of the restitution, it is an young woman who presents herself, because another band seeks to seize the nest egg. They are found with the hotel where it is made pass for her niece and will have, as from this moment, to be wary of each one. Little by little, the underworld of the capital takes it for true a caïd. Benefitting from one moment of respite of its adversaries, it will carry the money to charitable works before taking again its train for Arles.
