CUS Education

CUS Education is a French trade union federation gathering all the personnel of education (teaching, ATOSS, PUT,…. holders or not-holders, of the Maternal to the University) created following the social movement of November - December 1995 (federate in June 1998).

Organization

It currently gathers 67 local trade unions (them even divided into sections).

Structured of national federation, this organization is member of the European Public Service Union Solidaires which organizes employees of the public and the private one. CUS is an acronym which means “interdependent, unit and democratic”.

This Syndicat of fight is illustrated in education by denouncing the operation of state education supporting according to him corporatisms (multiple Joint administrative Committees according to the staff regulations), this minority organization progresses to each election to CAPN since its first elections in 1996.

This organization denounces the multiplication of the recourse to personnel which it describes as Précaire in the state education. She asserts of it establishment without condition of contest nor of nationality. The organization disputes also overpressures of stations in the state education which according to it disadvantage the people who already are supported, in this context it highly criticized the reform of device ZEP installation at the beginning of 2006.

The organization is opposed to the process of decentralization which is according to it the anteroom of privatization

Falling under a prospect for social transformation, the federation of the Southern trade unions education does not limit its field of intervention to the narrowly professional questions.

The organization, in order not to set up of hierarchy between its members, refuses times of discharge higher than one half-time. Its statutes also impose a rotation of the mandates and responsibilities.
