Reading

This medium is used for the description of the respiratory type. The observation of the possible acidification on all the height of the tube sown in central puncture makes it possible to conclude. The sowing of two tubes of which one covered with sterile petroleum jello is useless. This medium will be preferred with that of Hugh and Leifson for bacteria of difficult or slow culture (anaerobic strict and hulls Gram-positive). Entérobactéries quickly can sometimes réalcaliniser the medium on the surface. The conclusion will not pose however any problem.
