CRIRES
In Astronomy, CRIRES is the name of a close spectrograph cryogenic Infrarouge with high spectral Résolution ( Cryogenic high-resolution infrared scale spectrograph in English). This instrument is installed on the hearth Nasmyth “has” first Télescope VLT: UT1 (i.e. Links Telescope 1 ).
CRIRES is the last instrument of the first generation of instruments installed with VLT. It makes it possible to reach a spectral resolution of 100.000, and uses the adaptive Optique.
