CONMEBOL

CONMEBOL ( IDIOT federación suda' ME' laughed of Fút' BOL' ) is the South American confederation of Football. It depends on FIFA.

The CONMEBOL is founded the July 9th 1916 under the impulse of the Uruguyan Héctor Rivadavia Gómez. The Argentinian , the Uruguay, the Brazil and the Chile are founding members of this confederation. The Paraguay (1921), the Peru (1925), the Bolivia (1926), the Ecuador (1927), the Colombia (1936) and the Venezuela (1952) join then association.

The CONMEBOL organizes competitions of national selections, the Copa America in the highest degree, and competitions of clubs, the Copa Libertadores, for example.

List federations

The federations of Guyana and the Suriname and the Football league of French Guyana, although all three geographically located in South America are attached to CONCACAF, the Confederation of North America, power station, and the Caribbean of football association.
