CESTI Supméca

The Institute of higher learning of Mechanics of Paris - Supméca (in the past CESTI) is a French school of engineers general practitioner with dominant mechanics recruiting mainly after the preparatory cycle (CPGE). It is member of the grouping of schools ENSI and belonged to the network Polyméca.

Its sites are:

  • Supméca Paris: 3 rue Fernand Hainaut - 93407 Saint-Ouen Cedex France
  • Supméca Toulon: Place Georges Pompidou Quartier Mayol - 83000 Toulon

SUPMECA

The ISMEP (Institute of higher learning of Mechanics of Paris), created in 1948 on the initiative joint of the Federation of the Mechanical engineering industries and the Minister of education Main road, is a public corporation of higher education and research.

Since 1956 at Paris and 1994 in Toulon, the ISMEP delivers the diploma for the occupation of engineer Supméca (called before 2003 diploma for the occupation of engineer CESTI)

The principal admission with the ISMEP intervenes on the level bac+2, by the way of the Polytechnic Common Contests.

The training of engineer Supméca combines a solid bases scientific with an industrial experiment. Over three years of formation, 52 weeks are devoted to the training courses. The formation includes/understands obligatory and elective scientific lesson, lesson in economic scenes, social and human, like two obligatory foreign languages of which English, in first and second years, of the lesson of die, in last year.

The students can choose one of the following dies:

  1. Materials and Procédés (MP).
  2. Mécatronique (Mecatro). Industrial
  3. Automated systems and Processus (SP in the past SAPI). Mechanical
  4. Structures and Ensembles (SEM).

Each one of these dies proposes a parallel course. The last year can be also carried out in a partner establishment or not network Polyméca (ENSMA, ENSMM, ENSIAME) like abroad.

Die MP

Objectives

To train engineers ready to associate in a mechanical total step and materials.

Axes of Formation

  1. thorough Knowledge of materials and control of their implementation.
  2. Characterization and behavior under mechanical, thermal or environmental requests.
  3. reasoned Choice and optimized use of materials.
  • parallel Course

Supméca has a double course with the Université Pierre-and-Marie-Curie (Paris VI-Jussieu). Both Masters <>proposés are:
  1. Mechanical of the Fluids and Energy (MFE)
  2. Mechanical and Engineering of the Systems (PUT)
