CEPHISMER

CEPHISMER ( Cell Plunged Human and Intervention Under the SEA ) is a body of the French national marine.

The group was created by the lieutenant Philippe Tailliez, the sign of vessel of 1st class Jacques-Yves Cousteau and the engineer Frederic Dumas. It aims to develop new solutions to allow the practice of the Plongée underwater.

The group frequently changed name during its existence:
  • 1946 : GRS ( Grouping of Underwater Research )
  • 1950: GERS ( Group of Studies and Underwater Research )
  • 1973: GISMER ( Group of Intervention Under the Sea )
  • 1993: COMISMER ( Command of the diving and the intervention under the SEA )
  • 2000: CEPHISMER ( Cell Plunged Human and Intervention Under the SEA )
