CAP-gum
The CAP-gum ( pacgum in English) is an imaginary food .
In the Labyrinth S of the Video game and cartoon CAP-Man , it indicates an energy ball consumed in general by CAP-Man and its family and which enable them for some to absorb their enemies, of the Fantôme S.
Various CAP-gums
There exist three types of CAP-gums.- the CAP-gum basic (English dowry) small, is shone not and does not get any particular effect (except the increment of a meter in the case of video games). The fact of eating all CAP-gums, which is the objective of Pacman, makes it possible to pass on a level of higher play.
Dans the original play there are 240 CAP-gums, being worth 10 points each one, on each level. - the CAP-gum no-claims bonus/fruit which one can find in the same labyrinths is generally more interesting from a nutritive point of view (or from the point of view of the increment of the meter previously quoted).
Il exists in the original play 8 different no-claims bonus/fruits: the Cherry (100 points), the strawberry (300 points), the fishing (500 points), the Apple (700 points), the Grape (1000 points), the Space Invaders (2000 points), the Bell (3000 points) and the Key (5000 points). - the super CAP-gum (English energizer) is of much bigger size and much rarer. Brilliant and very energetics, it confers to the characters eating it one will have luminous, the capacity to eat the ectoplasmic beings which haunt the labyrinth. The latter are able to feel the change of nature of will have CAP-Man, which usually is their indicated victim. The phantoms then lose their speed and their color and are struck of weakness when their directions inform them. They tend also to move away from the direction taken by Pacman. On the other hand, the new phantoms, which replace those which were devoured, are not affected by the effect super CAP-gum and become again dangerous for Pacman.
In the original play there are 4 super CAP-gums positioned in the corners of the labyrinth, being worth 50 points each one, available to each level. The consumption of the phantoms after absorption of super CAP-gum brings back 200 points for the 1st phantom, 400 points for the second phantom, 800 points for the third phantom and 1600 points for the fourth phantom.
Properties common to CAP-gums
The CAP-gums, whatever they are, have faculty, when they are introduced in too great quantity, to make the phantoms more aggressive. For example, if Pacman eats all CAP-gums of a labyrinth, the phantoms will be faster thereafter.
