CAD Zhang is the third wire of CAD CAD (lord of war, writer and poet of ancient China). It is skilful and honest warrior called “the child with the yellow beard”, just as an archer and a rider except par. His/her father gives him the title of Duke of Yanling in year 216.

In year 218, it is sent by CAD CAD to repress a rebellion of the Wuhuan tribes in north, in the district of Dai. Its forwarding is a success and it completely destroys the rebels with such a heat that Kebineng, the War leader of the Xianbi tribes who was on the spot, offers instantaneously its tender to him without very delivering combat. Thus, all north was pacified. Immediately after, CAD Zhang has echo of the defeat of his/her father to the Master key of Yangping and precipitates towards the west to help it. It thus meets the forces of CAD CAD in the valley of Xie where it faces the army of the Shu and keep silent Wu Lan from the combat.

Later, whereas CAD pi succeeds CAD CAD and becomes King of the Wei, CAD Zhang, coming from Chang' year with an army of 100  000 men, comes to dispute his succession. However, Jia Kui convinces it to withdraw its army and CAD Zhang rather comes to pay homage to his/her brother and turns over to Yanling.

In year 223, when it comes to visit CAD pi, it asks to see a symbol of royalty and is thus suspected of wanting to usurp the throne. CAD pi thus organizes part of Weiqi during which CAD Zhang dies poisoned after having consumed the plums mortals that CAD pi offered to him.
