C-16
In the Manga Dragon Ball , C-16 is the 16th Cyborg created by the Doctor Gero.
Description
C-16 can be regarded as most powerful of the cyborgs, it is only preceded by a clone having cells of expert in martial arts Cell.
It is, on many points, most interesting : for example with the difference of C-17 and C-18, it is entirely synthetic and was not created starting from an living being. Doctor Gero regarded it as failure and hoped to be able to eliminate his defects thereafter, but he died before being able to improve it. Its principal “defect” is that it has almost human feelings : he adores nature and the animals, the latter feeling in confidence near him. He fundamentally non-violent and is animated of a kindness and a serenity some, whereas it was initially created to kill Its Gokû, like other Cyborgs.
Physically, it is impressive, with a not very common size and a very marked punk look, but its blue eyes are less empty than those of the others cyborgs, being entirely synthetic Cell can absorb it.
History
Appearance
One meets it for the first time in hibernation in the laboratory of Doctor Gero, which returns Trunks very nervous insofar as this Cyborg does not exist in the future. The young man destroys the laboratory, but cannot prevent the activation of C-16 by the cyborgs C-17 and C 18 qu ' it accompanies then with research by Its Gokû.
First combat against Concealment
In front of the threat Concealment, it decides to give up its peaceful attitude and to face Cell to protect the living beings from the Earth. It then shows a sensational power, definitely higher than that of C-17 and C-18, being worth that of Concealment almost. The combat engages and leans slightly its side: it in particular manages to tear off the caudal appendix of Concealment in order to prevent it from absorbing the cyborgs, but this one is made some push new using its capacity of regeneration. Concealment counter-attacks but is made surprise by the fact that C-16 can separate the fists from its body to project them. This last benefits from it to start an enormous wave of energy on him and manages to weaken it considerably.
But Cell manages to slip behind C-17 and to absorb it, thus reaching its intermediate form. C-16 faces it but cannot anything against the new shape of its adversary and is seriously damaged. He and C-18 are saved by the intervention of Ten Shin Han, which occupies Cell. They benefit from it to hide. They attend the combat between Cell and Végéta and with the decision fraught with consequences of this last, letting Cell absorb C-18, in spite of an ultimate attempt at C-16 to protect it.
At the time of the Concealment Range
Later, Bulma and its father agrees to repair it in preparation for the Concealment Range, in which it takes part in the sides of His Gokû and its friends. It is very discrete until the moment when Cell prepares to finish with Its Gohan of it: it profits owing to the fact that it is undetectable to approach the monster and to girdle it. It then prepares to activate the bomb of great power which is in him (Doctor Gero having imagined it to cut down Its Gokû), in order to eliminate Cell and to save the inhabitants of the Earth. But he is unaware of that Bulma withdrew this bomb while it repaired it, if he would like to be caught some in Gokû. Disabled, it does not react when Cell emerges and breaks it in thousand pieces.
However its head is still in operating condition and he asks Mr. Satan throw close to His Gohan. He says to the young boy that there is no evil to fight when its cause is right, and that it counts on him to defend all the living beings existing on Earth. Just after Cell crushes its head and thus destroys it definitively, but its words will break the psychological barrier of Its Gohan, finally enabling him to use all its power.
