Célestine, or tragi-comedy of Calixte and Mélibée is a Play published of 1482 to 1592 pennies the veil of anonymity. In 1502 a typographer noticed that the initial letters of each stanza of the poem prolog brought closer from/to each other, formed the name of Fernando de Rojas.
Célestine is a tragi-comedy governed by the sex and the money. This satire of manners to incredible energy sees Célestine, the old brothel-keeper, charged to convince soft Mélibée to marry the Calixte young person. And the intermediary to arrive to her ends… But at which price?
