Cégep of Old man-Montreal

The Cégep of Old man-Montreal is a college of mainstream education and professional (CÉGEP), located at 255 rue Ontario Est, in the district City-Marie of the town of Montreal to the Quebec (Canada).

Founded in 1968, the “Old man” is then composed of five distinct houses of teaching, all located in periphery of the district of City-Marie:

Head office (in the past named the Institute of technology of Montreal)
Marie-Victorin
Athanase David (in the past the Institute of the applied arts)
Lomer-Gouin
House of the Pines.

The college also includes/understands six buildings which are then used to ensure the behavior of sports activities. In September 1976, the current campus of Cégep of the Montreal Old man is created with 255, rue Ontario.

Located between the subway stations Berri-UQAM and Sherbrooke (orange line), it accommodates annually more than 6.000 students in regular teaching and approximately the same number in continuing education. Its popularity is increasing and he currently suffers from a lack from buildings and impossibility of extending. However, in spite of its space and its restricted capacity, it was always one of the establishments with the greatest number of students registered in Quebec.

The CÉGEP also has a residence for the students who come from everywhere to Quebec and besides in the world to the downtown area from Montreal. “The House of the Loan on trust” is located at 001 boulevard René-Lévesque EST, very close to the Desjardins complex and the Chinese District.
