Cégep de Matane

The CÉGEP of Matane is a Québécois institution of teaching , of collegial level, training old individuals generally between 17 and 22 years for the job market (program technical three years) or for the continuation of the studies at the university (two years general program).

The CÉGEP of Matane accommodates foreign students thanks to various programs of exchanges. These students come, inter alia, of IUT of the Saint-Dié-of-Vosges (France) and of the island of the Réunion.

Formations

All the programmes of teaching of Cégep aim at a common goal: to give the possibility to the student of obtaining a Diploma of collegial studies (DEC). They all are composed of:

Technical programs

The technical programs are with professional vocation: in his term, the student can choose to continue his studies in Université or to return in the Working life. These programs are taught over one 3 years duration, that is to say 6 sessions. They are composed of 45 to 65 specific units of formation.

Programs pre-academics

Held to the students preparing their entry in university, these programs are distributed over 2 years, that is to say 4 sessions. They are composed of 28 to 32 specific units of formation.

Continuing education

Offered to the people having left initial training, continuing education makes it possible to acquire a certificate for a particular field, such as the size of the Diamant S, the enology or the design of Video games. Teaching is made full-time or part-time and it is organized by the group Collegia.

Certain formations make it possible the student to fit in the work world thanks to two training courses remunerated during its university course. These formations are:
