Cégep Limoilou

The Cégep Limoilou is a collegial educational establishment of founded Quebec in 1967. It offers formations pre-academics and techniques to nearly 5500 students registered to regular teaching and continuing education. It offers about thirty programs leading to the Diplôme of collegial studies, as well as a score of shorter programs leading to a Attestation of collegial studies . The establishment counts nearly 700 employees including more than 500 permanent. The educational project of the cégep has as a subject " Knowledge, source of liberté".

Places of teaching

The cégep has four places of formation:

the principal campus, open since 1967,
the campus of Charlesbourg, built in 1991 on the site of the Patro of Charlesbourg,
the House of the trades of art, inaugurated in 1994,
the House of the trades of art of Quebec.

History

Cégep Limoilou was founded in 1967, at the time of the setting-up of the network of CÉGEP S. It then gathered the Institute of technology of Quebec (1907-1967) to the traditional Externat Saint-Jean-Eudes (1937-1967). This last establishment continued to exist as a secondary school.
