Cégep Limoilou
The Cégep Limoilou is a collegial educational establishment of founded Quebec in 1967. It offers formations pre-academics and techniques to nearly 5500 students registered to regular teaching and continuing education. It offers about thirty programs leading to the Diplôme of collegial studies, as well as a score of shorter programs leading to a Attestation of collegial studies . The establishment counts nearly 700 employees including more than 500 permanent. The educational project of the cégep has as a subject " Knowledge, source of liberté".
Places of teaching
The cégep has four places of formation:- the principal campus, open since 1967,
- the campus of Charlesbourg, built in 1991 on the site of the Patro of Charlesbourg,
- the House of the trades of art, inaugurated in 1994,
- the House of the trades of art of Quebec.
History
Cégep Limoilou was founded in 1967, at the time of the setting-up of the network of CÉGEP S. It then gathered the Institute of technology of Quebec (1907-1967) to the traditional Externat Saint-Jean-Eudes (1937-1967). This last establishment continued to exist as a secondary school.
