Byron Kelleher

Byron Kelleher , born the December 3rd 1976 with Dunedin, is a player of Rugby to XV New Zealand which played 40 times for the All Blacks since 1999. He plays station of half of mélée. He measures 1,75 m for 94 kg. Since the end of the World cup 2007, it evolves/moves with the Stade Toulousain for the seasons 2007-08 and 2008-09.

It began in the Super 12 with the Otago Highlanders then played in 2004 with the Waikato Chiefs like with the province of Waikato in the championship NPC.

Kelleher was named “New Zealand player of the year for the season 1999 Super 12”.

Kelleher and Justin Marshall were in competition for the post of half of mélée during these five last years. At the beginning it was a substitute of luxury in the team of All Blacks. It marked two tests during the World cup of Rugby 1999.

Its season 2002 was disturbed by a wound, it returned with Blacks in 2003.

In 2005, it was unconquered against the British teams, including against the Lions (3 victories).

In spring 2007, it signs for the KNOWN Agen, but reconsiders its engagement following the descent of the club of the Lot-et-Garonne in Pro D2. At the beginning of June, it signs a two year old contract with the Stade Toulousain.
