Bypass

A by-pass or bypass or bipasse , according to “Petit Larousse color” is a circuit of avoidance circumventing an apparatus, an installation, a device.

This device, schematically very simple, is employed in the most various fields.

In surgery

Of English by-pass , literally to pass beyond, therefore to short-circuit. In médicine surgeries is used to short-circuit the obstacle due to the presence of Occlusion, such as for example a Thrombus. The by-pass are mainly used at the arterial level, in these pathologies which can find a solution surgical of type vascular. The system by-pass finds most of the time in cardiac Chirurgie, on the level of the coronary ; in vascular surgery in the large vases like the Carotid S or the femoral. In some cases, are used remedies Exogène S to establish; in the cases of transplantation veins like the higher mammaire are used, to create a by-pass of Anastomose between the new body and the receiver.

In technique

Hydraulic system

In the installations of Central heating, between the tubes departure/return of water to the boiler, an automatic device of by-pass (valve or differential Vanne), which makes it possible always to ensure a minimum water flow in the radiator, even if all the thermostats of the installation are closed simultaneously.

Circuit solar panels

A electronic by-pass is installed on the solar panels to short-circuit certain voltaic cells which would be temporarily exposed to the shade (of a foliage for example), thus avoiding a degradation of these cells.
