The butterfly fish of the Easter Island is a butterfly fish which belongs to the sub-genus Lepidochaetodon . In 1984, André Maugé and Roland Bauchot proposed to allot this species to their new kind Heterochaetodon , which would give like scientific name for this fish Heterochaetodon litus .
