Investment company, Butler Capital Partners is one of the leaders independent in France of the Capital-investment, covering a broad range of the types of Investissement (Capital development, LBO and reversal). This group realized over the last years close to about fifteen operations adding up more than 4 billion euros turnover.

Its president-founder is Walter Butler.

An example of operation of Butler Capital Partners is acquisition in LBO near the group Pernod Ricard of international group ATYS (ex-Sias MPA), world leader of the preparations to the fruits for the Yaourts, in May 2002.

This funds does not have a sector of predilection. In twelve years, the company invested in France Mushrooms, César (disguises), the Giraud road carrier, the Groupe Flo or the software firm Osiatis (Thomainfor, a ex-subsidiary company of Thomson). Its funds, created in 1990, is finally less aggressive than competition, since there remain seven years on average with the capital of a company before reselling it, against three to five years for the remainder of the profession.

In 2005 - 2006, he is the transferee selected, jointly with Veolia Transport, by the State for the privatization of SNCM. A polemic burst in connection with the bonds between Walter Butler and the Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin and the low bid price to the transferees (28 million euros) taking into account the estimate of the credits of the company (280 million euros).
