Bustince-Iriberry

Bustince-Iriberry is a common French, located in the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques and the area Aquitaine.

Its name Basque is Buztintze-Hiriberri .

Geography

Bustince-Iriberry is a Low-Navarre locality of located at approximately 10 kilometers in the north of Saint-Jean-Foot-of-Port. It is served by the secondary road 933, structuring axis which crosses the department of the south to north and is prolonged in the department of the Landes.
The two boroughs, Bustince and Iriberry, are connected by a communal way. The town hall offers the characteristic to be located on this way between the two boroughs, at equal distance from those.

This communal way belongs to the GR. 65, path of great excursion which is the Via Podiensis pilgrims of Saint-Jacques-of-Compostelle.

The common one belongs to the Pays of Cize.

Hydrography

In the southern part it is crossed by the river Arzuby , which is thrown in the Laurhibar with Ispoure, that-Ci-joining the Nive shortly after.

History

The common one was formed to the French revolution by the meeting of the parishes of Bustince and Iriberry.

Economy

The economy of the commune is primarily agricultural, in particular it is located in the surface of production of the Vignoble of Irouléguy. One also finds on the heights in the west of the commune a career exploited by the company Carrières and work of Navarre , whose activity is the production of sands and aggregates.
