It is the case for example of the put Aschieri , who is in the old historical borough. For all the period which goes the year millet to second half of the 19th century, there were not great changes and the village remained such as it is until the moment when the Piedmontese government to make there pass the line of Railroad which initially connected it to Suse and then the France by the tunnel of Frejus (open in | 1870). The position of the village to the intersection of the two lines made of it a strategic Gare for the rail traffic.

From this moment the village grew parallel to the station and with the factory. The development was also done with the industry Coton nière which made of it a pole Textile for one long period.

The situation changed towards the end of the 20th century. With the crisis of textile industry and the recession in the railroads, with a strong reduction of manpower, the village lost much of its importance, and the closing of the principal activities involved a slow decline which still continues. From now on, the railway part belonging to the past, the common one tried to be started again in new activities, in particular by reinforcing the mining.
